Est Jan 2007, this archive contains a complete set of gameplay videos for the NTSC catalog of the Nintendo Entertainment System, also known as the NES. Captures have always been and will always be from original hardware or FPGA. No emulators here.

NESguide started because, at the time in 2007, I was unable to find "video screenshots" of many of the more obscure NES titles; just to see what they looked like and played like. I aspired to fill that void by producing a basic but comprehensive gameplay video archive. This goal was met in 2009, but many videos haven't aged well (ancient resolution/fuzzy) and/or have other quality issues that are more evident in 2025.

So, now I've started work on capturing 4K quality gameplays to replace older gameplay videos in the set . Please subscribe if you'd like to follow along with me on this new quest; as I traverse and capture the NES catalog once again.
