I'm Michael, who is also known as NCommander or FOSSFirefighter in various parts of the Internet. I have a passion for retrotech, digital preservation, and studying the facts that help build the technological world we live in today.

In the past, I used to professionally develop the Ubuntu operating system, volunteered as an interior firefighter in Henrietta, NY, and traveled across the world living out of a backpack for years at a time. I don't know where this road is going to take me, but I enjoy making content on YouTube, and I'm always hoping to find that rare "grail in the garbage" moment whenever I start a new project.
